So another year's gone

Woo. I'm actually a bit surprised because despite this year's introduction of me to Tumblr (which results in me almost moving entirely over there), I still managed to get at least one entry every month. That's good, isn't it? Because for the love of God without this journal it would have been entirely impossible for me to remember how I was a year ago. I tend to forget things like that.

So yeah. It's been a pretty good year in general. Although of course there are some rather disappointing downsides such as 1. I get a part-time job which I hate with all of my being and 2. I get the most boring ever semester I've ever had in my life, but I guess it did give me a chance to think about other things I want to do so it's not that bad in the end after all.
Good lord is it cold or I'm having cold sweat here? Why do I always have cold sweat when I'm talking about myself? That's something to redeem next year, definitely. Which leads us to...2012 resolutions!

P.S: This is probably a good time to say that I've moved to Dreamwidth. I was pretty pissed with LJ's latest update, and DW has a lot of features that are just begging me to take them. But I'll still be keeping two blogs, still be constantly checking LJ, it's just that instead of posting in LJ I'll be crossposting from over DW. So nothing's exactly changed actually, but yeah, just thought you might be interested.

Dec. 23rd, 2011 03:26 pm That's it. I'm permanently moving everything from my LJ account to DW. I'm so fed up with LJ and its constant dismissal of its userbase. And what's more, DW is ad-free anyway. Although the contents aren't much yet (as well as the layout designs), I'm pretty sure many of the fandoms are going to have a major move soon, and I might as well set up camp here anyway.

Sep. 9th, 2011 10:37 pmDo I have to make one of these posts every time I'm finished with my semester? Because seriously the end of one is so exhilirating and relieving that I can't help but shout it out to the world.
But yeah anyway just finished the last of my assignments 2 hours ago. Technically I still have one exam about Multimedia Engineering but it's pretty easy and not until next Wednesday so I'll just relax for now, catch up on the stuffs I've been missing (God, 3 days worth of Tumblr? I'm gonna need coffee).
Oh God seriously I can't believe it's all over. Right now my head is still full of the background music of that flash assignment I just finished (all woooey and stuff, since it's a title sequence for a Film Noir thriller). So many things to do I really have no idea where to start...*___* Too bad it's already 10:30PM so there's not much that can be done, urgh maybe I'll just watch a movie and leave the Tumblr backtrack to tomorrow, one more day to the stack probably won't hurt...much...

Turns out because last semester too many people chose crap movies, this time the lecturer limited the genre to Film Noir. Which utterly and totally destroyed my plans of choosing Star Trek for the topic.
I'm seriously, really, despaired and shocked because this just came out of nowhere all of a sudden. I mean, I was so taken aback that I lost my ability to speak for awhile. (What's more annoying I'm only allowed to choose from the movies downloadable from archive.com. Oh it's not like I know that many Film Noir movies to begin with, but yeah.)
Well at least, luckily for me, I saw this one starring DeForest Kelley though, called "Fear in The Night" (YES FOR STAR TREK EVERYWHERE). The moment I saw it I just want to grab it immediately, but I don't want to dig my own graves so I'm gonna watch it first and pray to God no one will choose it before me (people in the same class aren't allowed to choose the same movie). Because a good film with brilliant acting doesn't mean it's easy to do a title sequence for :| And it's thriller so I don't know urgh.

Urgh in any case I'm rewatching this one more time after the exams. Hopefully my reactions would be more proper then OTL. (Haha, I define "proper" as "squealing my heads off" while "being calm" is "weird and not normal". I don't know whether to laugh or to cry.)
ETA: I just realized it came off like I don't like TWOK. DON'T GET ME WRONG I LIKE IT A LOT, but I'm just too annoyed at my inability to express myself more properly. ;____;

3x21 "Requiem for Methuselah" thoughts
May. 19th, 2011 11:06 pmNo thoughts process this time; there are a lot of head canon I feel should be put into proper tl;dr instead of just incomprehensible squealing capslock. I don't claim this to be a meta, only my interpretation of what happened in the episode.
Despite what most people say about this episode, I find it to be an enjoyable angst ride, and I had fun interpreting what Spock was thinking throughout the whole Kirk/Rayna fest. And I was spoiled silly before watching already (I knew that Kirk fell in love with an android, that said android couldn't take it and "blew up", and I'd replayed the "forget" scene so many times I've already known McCoy's speech verbatim) so no disappointment at least - I had no expectations to hold up `_`

I definitely have read too much into this, but I guess I was in the right position and mood to enjoy the episode: I've been fed with facts and headcanon before watching, and I was /really/ feeling like I could need some angst yesterday, so I absorbed the story like a sponge to water. And, of course, Spock playing piano and Spock playing the white knight in shining armor to Kirk are always bonuses <3
Oh, and, since I was busying interpreting K/S thoughts, I almost didn't register the part where the old guy was revealed to be Da Vinci, Brahms, Methuselah and a bunch of other famous guys. I guess it's all for the better - now that I think about it, it's quite ridiculous OTL.
ETA: I just realized I spent surprisingly little amount of time on the "forget" scene. Don't get me wrong - it's absolutely brilliant and I love it to bits, it even brought me to tears (like I said, with all the build-up throughout the whole ep, the impact of the final scene was that much greater). But there're like tons of metas on that one already, so :"/.

It must be the spring/summer/wintertime blues because it seems like a lot of people are feeling a bit down on the moment [myself included] and I just thought this meme would be a good way to cheer them up. Similar to a lot of other love meme's, here are the rules:
